To those of you who are recently looking into wedding vows, back on Spira, where I am from, I was a maester of Yevon. This means I am authorized to perform marriage ceremonies if either party is in need of a priest of sorts.
Which side of me will you need--the florist, the herbalist...
I have been here a long time, so I could indeed explain things. This blighted land is the home of a monster and her twisted offspring, and on it is placed some curse that draws people here and traps them. I am told that once upon a time, it was a thriving city, but have never lived here during those days.

A genie, a fairy, a lion...I don't know what a fayth is, so I cannot help you further.
The monster went on a rampage, destroying our makeshift homes and injuring quite a few of us.
I am quite adept at all matters botanical, although I can't do all I am accustomed to do in this soil--Anthropophages are out of the question; they don't grow here.

A fayth is the spirit of someone once alive, now trapped in a statue. Each fayth is bound to an eternity of speaking with summoners, bonding with them to create aeons, our summoned beasts. An aeon is only as powerful as its fayth.
A rampage? Hn.. I must admit I am intrigued. How sad for those who lost possessions. No one was killed?
Someday in the future, I may indeed find the need to ask you for a botanical favor. For now, I will make note of your abilities.

To give you an idea: Sin is a monster capable of destroying entire cities in one sweep. Only an aeon, a very special one, could destroy Sin and bring about the Calm. Aeons were our only hope of salvation.
I see. The power of such a creature appears to rival that of Sin itself. This sort of thing is common?
I understand. I am as of yet unsure what magic may remain with me from my transition.

I am Marluxia, and I am nothing more than a humble gardener.
Reply
I see. You must know a great deal about plants.

I do. Do you, perhaps, require my services?

Not as of right now, though I am certain I might at a later date. I am slowly acquainting myself to the area. Perhaps you could explain things to me?

Pity, really. It looks like a masterpiece of time here. So many pieces to put back together. Dare I ask if the monster still resides here?
Hnn, I may find a task for an herbalist if you are interested.

Yes, the monster still lives here--an attempt was made to destroy her, but it ended in utter disaster.
What sort of task, may I ask?

Disaster? How dreadful. What came to pass, if I may be so bold as to ask.
I have yet to decide, though I am curious as to your level of expertise.

To my knowledge, no.
I am grateful for the note. It is always satisfying for one's work to be recognized.
