if there's more snow, someone's getting punched in the face
Bing said there's a possibility of a 30inch snowstorm coming before the end of the month. I don't really believe him. Then again, half of me is terrified at the prospect of it for I'd lose HOW MUCH MORE VACATION to stay safe?
That reminds me. I have yet to bitch about the retardedness that was last Wednesday. They issued a state of emergency and warned all vehicles to stay off the road because there was a blizzard. Life threatening conditions, it said. Stay indoors. There was a fine if you drove and were not an emergency vehicle for Maryland because Maryland was worse. But you know what? They told us, no, the facility is not closed and you should report to work, but use your own judgement. As in, use your vacation if you don't want to drive in the blizzard. Assholes.
But ok. A lot of companies had their employees use vacation that day because of the blizzard (which is ridiculous, but that's beside the point). The problem is, our company has a *weather calamity* charge code. As in, if there's a *weather calamity* charge to that and make up the hours later. Sooo what is the purpose of a weather calamity charge code that you're not allowed to use? There's a specific email saying employees are not allowed to charge weather calamity. If a life threatening blizzard is not considered weather calamity, tell me, what is? >.< Needless to say, employees are just a bit pissed off. It's not even the issue of using vacation (which sucks either way), but why have a charge code for shitty weather if you aren't allowed to use it?
Effing ridiculous.
It better not snow heavily again. I have a honeymoon to go on, people. I need that vacation :P
Anyway, this weekend was nice. J & I went shopping Friday and out to dinner because VDay dinners suck and we were sick of staying indoors. We always pass by Coach and I tend to window shop there. I never buy full price :P I wait till it hits Leesburg and get it then. But nooo, J's working fulltime now and decided that he wanted to get me the bag that made me go O_O ... I see lots of things and go O_O so I didn't see why it had to be a crazy ass Coach bag... I DON'T PAY FULL PRICE!! *sigh* He accused me of making a scene (I was.. I kept trying to tug him away). He bought the new poppy graffiti bag. It's so cute, but I also feel really guilty. I'm not used to him buying me things :P I've been working for 2+ years and he just started. It'll take some adjusting. But it's a damn cute bag. He says it wasn't for VDay (I banned him from gifting me.. stinkin' VDay..) but just cuz :P LIES!
Also watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Damn cute book when I was little. Damn cute movie now that I'm big :) I definitely enjoyed it. I haven't really gone to the theater since Avatar... But ah, I love animated films. Can't help but appreciate the pretty.
Is it time to go to Hawaii yet? Because I'm definitely sick of this snow. And lifely things. Or workly. I dunno.. Sick of planning the wedding. Just want it to be done with and off to a sunny vacation. I can't feel my fingers...
