Went to look at the reception hall and church today. Reception area is pretty sweet :) It's decently priced (all things considered..) and is super cute. There are 2 floors: the top floor is the dining area and it has a balcony that look directly down upon the down floor; the first floor has the dance floor, a piano, a bunch of sofas and chairs to lounge in, the bar, the dj booth and a coffee area. I loves it :) It's only an extra $500 for the open bar.. which is usually about $3k sooo I'm all kindsa in ♥ with it. They don't book till January for 2010, so I'll be waiting till then. Should be getting the date I want.
The place is also minimum of 90 guests and max 135 for plated service and wait staff. At first I didn't even think I'd make 90. Now looking over the preliminary guest list, we're hitting close to about 150 o_O WHO KNEW?! Mom was like ".. you don't have more than 10 friends outside of family / coworkers, right?" T_T What do you take me for, mother?! Geez! Anyway, we'll probably have to trim the guest list down now :P Meh, all good. That just means I have a legit excuse for people who I'm not that close to anymore.
As for the church, we met Angie there and she brought her son Zachary. CUTE AS A BUTTON! He's a couple months old and just so freaking cute. He has the biggest blue eyes ♥ Angie let me hold him as she showed us around. I like the church, though. It's really close to the reception hall (which also had a bunch of hotels listed in the area which is awesome. Less research for me!) and fits a decent amount of people. It's modern with the right touch of religion for J's family. The fees are a little ouch, but I'm not part of their church so I can't really complain. Plus I'm bringing my own minister in.
Went to lunch at a sushi place across from the church. Just randomly saw it. Unfortunately they didn't have a lunch menu like I expected, so I spent a bit more than I expected for food :( BOO. At least J made sauerkraut and bratwurst for dinner. Yum. I've been in the mood for it for months. The consequence of cabbage is the gaseous fumes that get released afterwards T_T I've been trying to avoid him for a while... lol.
Bing came over for dinner and Transformers. IT GOES BOOM. I LIKE IT. He helped me pick up a couple Christmas gifts from B&N since it's employee appreciation week. 40% off! I'm giving him a list of books I want for myself because that's way too awesome. I should think of more.... Hm.
Man.. this wedding is getting more and more expensive. But also getting slightly more exciting. J says I'll turn into bridezilla T_T About a 90% chance. I somewhat believe him.. I'm prone to panic and stressful freakouts.. Noooooooo!
