So Peter's leaving after our lease ends :P J & I went to look for a new apartment. Of course, since I'm me, I freak out like whoa. Went to see a couple places. Favorite was a place in Fairfax, which is really nice. Owned by the same company as the complex I'm at now. They have a pimp pool \o/ The apartments themselves definitely aren't as nice as they are here, but... they're also $200/month cheaper for a 1 bedroom.. and yet they still charge up the ass. Freaking DC area having to be so damn expensive x_x

Anyway, yesterday after work we went to visit another apartment in Fairfax, but closer to Mason. Like, less than a mile from Mason. I got lost on the way there. Wasn't impressed by the place (could've been because I was angry at getting lost). Then lost on the way back. Had I actually gotten there and back ok, it still would be an extra 10min drive just to get through 2 miles of traffic lights. To fight that every morning and drive 20 minutes to work? Yeah. No.

Decided on the other apartment in Fairfax, and our manager at this complex said she'd work with us to get us out of our lease 15 days early. Instead of July 15, we can end the lease June 30 cuz the lease at the other place starts June 24. Because we're staying within the company they're willing to help us out, which I thought was cool. And since Lockheed's a preferred employer they did away with a lot of fees :) It was sweet. I'm still paying a shit ton of rent (especially without Peter paying 1/3 of the rent), but that's ok. This place will be the first place J & I will legitimately share as just us.

Weird.

I'm excited :) I hate moving like all hell, but I'm almost used to it now, having done it almost 5 years in a row. I'm enlisting Mike & Tommy to help me move XD haha

Went to eat dim sum with Tommy on Saturday. Oh so good. But uh, navigating Seven Corners was not fun. Thank God he drove cuz I couldn't figure out which direction we were going in until we got back to his apartment T_T I'm so bad with directions. Learning Fairfax is going to be utterly painful *cry*

moving, wow boys
