Wow.
Okay, so I'm thinking that everyone who reads this journal probably knows my news by now. I think I've told everyone on my list of close friends except...well....ironically, my (hopefully) future maid of honor :) Fortunately, it happened while Carol was in town for 3 weeks, so I REALLY want to take advantage of the circumstances and tell her in person. But I can't see her until Wednesday morning, so I hope the grapevine doesn't get to her by then. But as far as I know, no damage has been done yet, and I purposely mentioned to anyone I think would leak it to Carol that they should keep their mouths shut until Wednesday since I really want to tell her in person. So let's hope it stays that way until then. *crosses fingers*
It started to sink in today, that this is gonna happen for real. Keith and I went shopping for my real e-ring, which was incredibly tiring because there are so many, and jewelry salespeople are SO pushy. Damn commissions. After that, we went to Ikea to look at possible stuff for our future house, just for fun. We were both bummed to discover that Ikea does not have a gift registry, so we came up with the idea of possibly making our own online registry for Ikea, since we're both programmers. Something where we have a list of stock numbers/names of stuff we wanted, and then people could shop and then go online if/when they decide to buy something. And we're already planning on making a Web page where people can go to RSVP and automatically store the info, if they're web-savvy.
I'm still recovering from my exhausting weekend. Good night.
