Talking with one of the guys who works for our courier company he comments on there being a large number of middle-management-type people who are rude to him and think of themselves as much smarter/more important than him.
Me: I don't see the point in being rude to people who are doing things for you. Like delivering your mail, bringing your food, fixing your computer. You'd think that since they're dependent on us, and we could screw shit up if we wanted to, that they would be nicer.
Him: Seriously.
Me: Maybe that's why we both have so many friends here. The smart ones realize that being nice to the two of us can get people things faster or better than if they weren't nice.
Him: So you're saying we're legal extortionists?
Me: Yep.
Him: Yeah, I'm ok with that too.
