As weird as it may sound, but Michael Jackson was the stepping stone for me between bad and good music. It pretty much went Nelly-Michael Jackson-Radiohead and Belle & Sebastian. In 8th and 9th grade I didn't listen to much of anything besides Michael Jackson. That was a long time ago, but I still believe that Thriller and Off the Wall are two of the best albums ever made, and that the Jackson 5 singles are amazing pieces of music. Many people who enjoy good music will write Michael Jackson off for his craziness, but these people really need to take a second listen to some of his stuff, because it really is fabulous.
