South Eugene Choral Department: Pulling it Out of Our Axe
So... Dorians.
This is Kimberly's first year teaching Dorians.
Sam Rowan is the only returning singer from last year. Nathan Alef is the only returning musician.
For every other member of Dorians, this is their first year of jazz. Amanda and I started two months ago.
We have four seniors. Five Juniors. Six sophomores. And 2 Freshmen.
At Pleasant Hill Jazz Festival today...
At our afternoon performance we were missing one tenor.
At our evening performance we were missing one tenor and one second soprano.
And yet...
WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not only did we win first place in the best division, tonight I sang better than I have in weeks, my mom came to the finales performance (this being the first dorians performance of mine she's ever seen), and I got to go up and get the trophy with the other two seniors!!!!!
