Part of the Beltane Fest, this fic is amazing. It really delves into the characters, which are admittedly OCC, but in the right way, i.e., handled with close attention and not with carelessness. I have another rec from the H/D Canon Fest! This is just an amazingly raw and powerful story about love and life and endurance. Beautifully written and poignant.
