OK, so I'm not in the mood to write anything that I have to worry abotu continuity... so, I wrote this little fic based on a request at
fic_requests.
http://community.livejournal.com/fic_requests/197979.htmlFor
pensnest"Lance/Kevin
On page 190 of Lance's book is the incredible sentence that begins thus: I was recently hanging with Kevin Richardson from the Backstreet Boys..." Apparently they discussed the failings of one L Pearlman. That's nice, to be sure, but I'd like to think they had a more interesting time than that. Personally, I'm quite taken with the fanon that insists there's a certain amount of, hmm, tension between those two.
Anyone?"

“What the hell are you doing here?” Kevin spat when he opened the front door.
“Is that how you greet people?” Lance smiled politely as Kevin stood firmly in the doorway.
“That’s not an answer.”
“Nick called, said you’d be alone with Mason. He thought I could help out.”
“I can take care of my son by myself.” Kevin crossed his arms as a loud scream came from within the house. Lance smirked and pushed past Kevin.
The moment Lance picked up Mason, the crying stopped. “Awe, he likes me. You do know that babies are good judges of people? He must get that from his mom.”
Kevin stood in the entranceway of the living room simmering. He tried his best not to shoot daggers at Lance while Mason was in Lance’s arms. Kevin really needed a stiff drink.
It only took Lance an hour to change, feed and put Mason to sleep. They sat down in the kitchen for lunch. Lance made sure the baby monitor was on. He wanted to make sure Kevin got in the first jab. He wanted Kevin to feel like there was some power in those big hands.
“So, how’s the boyfriend situation going?” Kevin smiled into his cup of coffee.
“Justin or the public one?” Lance innocently replied. Kevin wasn’t going to get a rise out of him that easy. He knew Kevin needed to let out some steam after dealing with Mason, Nick and the wife all the time, but Kevin really needed to work for it.
Kevin rolled his eyes. Lance wasn’t going to make this easy for him. “Both. It’s not like I have anything else to talk about... Unless you want to talk about baby puke?”
Lance shook his head. “Justin just being a little bitchy. He thinks the last fake boyfriend looked a little too much like a cross between the two of you. Did you hear about fat L-“
“No! I don’t want to talk about... him. Nick still has nightmares.” Kevin put his head down on the table. “Isn’t there any good news?”
“Well,” Lance said as he slipped his hand under that table and up Kevin’s leg, “Mason is asleep and we don’t have to talk...”
There are many ways to let off steam...
