Ogden Nash on cars

So here's an excerpt from an Ogden Nash poem. It seems particularly appropriate given my current problem of choosing a car. I don't think my wallet likes the direction this thought process leads, but nobody asked it what it thought anyway.

You didn't get a wicked forbidden thrill
Every time you let a policy lapse or forget to pay a bill;
You didn't slap the lads in the tavern on the back and loudly cry Whee,
Let's all fail to write just one more letter before we go home, and this round of unwritten letters is on me.
No, you never get any fun
Out of things you haven't done...

The things you haven't done...
Do I really want to live a life with things left undone, experiences left unexperienced? I live in a warm place with lots of sun. It's just begging for a convertible. Who knows how long I'll be living here, but while I *do* live here and I *can* afford it I think I should make the most of the unique experiences this place has to offer. One of those experiences is driving around with the top down, with the sun shining, on my way to a park or a concert or a simple dinner with friends.

I say live life without any regrets, and I'm starting to think I'll regret getting a car with a solid roof.
