My manager is ridiculous. She went to go see the Dalai Lama, twice, just to BRAG that she saw the Dalai Lama. The purpose of his visit was to encourage "sowing seeds of compassion." But immediately after she got back from the second conference began bullying several of my co-workers for nit-picky reasons. Oh yeah, and she also embezzles; $20,000 in bonus money style while regular staff gets somewhere around $500 in bonuses and management $1000.
Well I saw the Dalai Lama too today while dropping Pat off at work as he was exiting his hotel on his way to speak surrounded by 40 or so cops and cameras. He was in bright orange as most everyone else was in black. The light turned green so I only caught a glimpse but it was a cool start to the day.
The roommates stuff got dumped. While I believe in compassion, I also believe in paying your rent on time and not leaving things for 6 months.
