Shit, no wonder I had so much money in my checking acct.--i.e. I hadn't paid my Bursar's balance yet. So now that I've paid that damn balance via OneStart, I've depleted checking funds by approx. more than one-half. So it's good I've decided to work throughout break after all (seriously can't wait for that min. wage increase to take effect 24 July). Fingers crossed for a SLIS scholarship, but total as if--i.e. only 10% of SLIS students receive aid. Not gonna happen--is what I should keep telling myself. In the mean time, I could definitely use that J&J royalty money.
I'm debating with myself re. whether I should just work a whole lot through Summer 1 and 2, or actually dip into savings and take Lou's Govt. Info course in Summer 2 while working fewer hrs. at that time. This might be the last time she's teaching that course--I know Lou is totally great fr. her S501 presentation--plus I know she'll definitely give me an A. The course material will be useful and interesting as I continue to work at ET2 Govt Info. So I've added the course to my registration shopping cart on OneStart. I'll register depending on the SLIS financial aid situation--about which I'll be notified approx. mid-April. I really REALLY wish I'd applied for MA Comp Lit admission for Fall 2009+.
