In the Garden.

Spring is well sprung in Sydneytown! Deciduous trees sprout longer and wider foliage every day. There's always a new, ripe strawberry for me to eat, and the broad beans are bursting full. The parsley needs harvesting too. I have a basket I'm going to fill with broad beans, parsley, passionfruits and lilli pilli berries and leave on the front doorstep of our nextdoor neighbours (also our landlords). They sowed the plants so they should reap the rewards. I'll just eat the strawberries.

I'm going to have something to eat, change my clothes, and take Kenji on a nice long walk. There's a breeze out there, and sunshine, and the scent of a million billion flowers.

I checked Kenji out for ticks before - I was sure we'd left them behind at our last home - and he was nervous and I was sorry but I'd felt a few bumps on his skin. Turned out they were tiny little scabs and so I relaxed and Kenji bounded off the couch to make the ball chaseable again. I don't mind if he's going round getting poked by tiny sharp objects and bumping into things when he's playing catch - just as long as those paralysis ticks stay remote.

Gordon's just come in from the sun. He's been sitting under a bush full of white blossoms. Kenji couldn't even find him.
