Zine Factory Exhibition
Today we went to a zine exhibition in Emu Plains called Zine Factory. It was a beautiful spring afternoon and there was sun dappling shade on every tree I saw. We saw the requisite number of vintage Valiants, Monaros and Pontiacs (yes, we saw one!) to make our day complete, and we even found an olive green Holden EJ on the way home. OUR CAR! - but in slightly worse nick. Now we know there are at least three left in Sydney. Woohoo! (Wonder how many more.)
Anyway, ZINES. The exhibition was every bit as good as I was hoping, and possibly slightly better. The only sorry thing was that there weren't more zines available to handle, fondle and read, but I s'pose there was a very good reason for that. They belonged to private collections and are more than slightly stealable, not to mention they'd be dead grubby by now, so most were inside perspex cases. The gallery girl said the exhibition has been very popular so far.

Inspired by the Shinto shrine in Shibuya, Japan, this was a place to identify things that made you happy.

There was a corrugated iron water tank raised amidst the trees and glorious eucalypts dancing on high. There was also a stunning baobab tree I didn't want to photograph.
