I just got all excited when I read about The Killing doing really well on one of the BBC channels (Surya74 pointed out Callum has a wee guest role in it). BE STILL MY HEART. Also, how did I not know this was airing?
Then I realised they were talking about the original Danish version. Oops.
Of course my thoughts still went to the remake, if the Danish subtitled version was doing really well maybe they'd get the remake in too. :D? Or not:
"The Killing is soon to air as an English-language production. The American broadcaster AMC, which also makes Mad Men, has remade the show and it will begin in the US this spring, although it is unlikely to be shown on the BBC.
"I don't think we will acquire it," said Sue Deeks, the BBC's head of acquisitions. "It seems very close to the original version. I don't think we'd get the same response twice."
