It's (not) a science experiment.
I have just worked a 6-day week. Do not like. Anyway, being somewhat inspired, I woke up enough to christen the laptop DVD player with Hard Core Logo.

I wasn't sure if it would play because I'm fairly clueless about computer dvd players. Do they work the same as standard ones with set regions? I have lots of region 1 & 2 discs, it would be nice to be able to play both. Anyway, HCL played perfectly. IN GLORIOUS WIDESCREEN. The sound kind of sucks, until I put my earphones in. Then it is okay.
(After the HCL experiment I put in Men With Guns and the computer threw a hissy fit, refusing to play it. With gentle coaxing - uh, that is ejecting the disc and putting it back in again. Super technical. *g* - it also plays that perfectly. In.. non-glorious widescreen for it is a full screen type movie, but still. SO PRETTY.)
