To watch or not to watch. That is the question.

Hello Agent Shaw! What a handsome agent you are!

*smooches*

Yes folks, that bastion of evil, 'Code Name: The Cleaner' is finally hitting UK shores this weekend, at selected cinemas across the country. They seem to have remembered there was somewhere out there that had not been inflicted by it on the big screen yet, even though it's been out on Region 1 DVD for months. Well I'll be.

Here be snippet proof from a review that was as kind as possible (they rated it 1 star) -

Code Name: The Cleaner (PG)
Damon Smith
5/12/2007
91 mins. Comedy/Thriller. Cedric The Entertainer, Lucy Liu, Nicollette Sheridan, Mark Dacascos, Callum Keith Rennie, Niecy Nash, DeRay Davis, Will Patton. Director: Les Mayfield. Released: December 7 (UK & Ireland, selected cinemas).

LES Mayfield's misfiring and misconceived comedy, about an amnesiac who suspects he may be a CIA operative, is about as much fun as a pile of ironing.

Oh, dear. It doesn't really get any better than that. I think this film has already reached legendary status for all the wrong reasons. (Why, Callum, WHYYYYYYY?!) What surprised me was when I checked my cinema to see it is indeed listed as starting on Friday. It's one of the selected few! *stifled squee* I don't expect it's run will last longer than a week provided they get a print in the first place - sometimes they are promised movies and the movies they do not appear, especially if they are Not Of The Good.

Hopefully it will arrive. I've never seen a CKR film on the big screen before, and now I have my chance. But, still... of ALL the Callum films it would have to be this one. *headdesk*
