Finally after living here for about 4 years Adrianna has found a friend to play with. She saw a boy riding a bike and basically sought him out and wanted to play. We found out that he lives 4 houses down from us (no not the house that has the loud crazy insane family but the house after that one). The boy and his sister played here for a majority of the day and then Adrianna spent some time over at their house. They had to go home a while ago and Adrianna was not happy about it. Neither was the boy. The boy is 6 and the sister is 11. Both kids are really nice and I'm really happy that Adrianna finally has some friends to play with in the neighborhood.
It was interesting to observe her playing with her new friend yesterday. She was kinda passive and it almost seemed like she didn't know how to act watching her new friend playing with her toys. She just sat back and watched instead of joining in on the play. Today she did a little better and played with them a little more instead of being so passive.
Now everytime she hears our front door open she gets excited and says "my friends are here!" but then looks dissapointed when she sees that it's just me. LOL usually shes totally exstatic to see me but now shes waiting untill she can see her new friends again.
In other news we got Adrianna's vision tested since her vision was screened at the tender care learning center. I got a piece of papper that said that she had some sort of deficiency and it said to make an appointment with a professional etc. So I did and Dave took her friday while I worked. Bottom line is her vision is fine. They mentioned she has a very very slight deficieny in the left eye but she did not need glasses. Then they turned around and said we think you should take her to a pediatric optimologist because they have more tools. Dave got pretty upset because first they say she doesn't need glasses but then they want to push you to go see another doctor. I told him not to worry about it and that we'll do a follow up in a year.
Otherwise not much else going on so till next time.
