With every passing day it has brought great warmth to see friendship growing between the Crogs and my people. It seems that the prior hesitation and unease to work alongside them has started to subside among some of the older generations now as well ( Read more... )

Hey, Your Highness. Haven't seen you around lately~

Then again I haven't been around much lately myself, ha... god, how have you been?

As to that race? Consider this me signing up to compete!

Eva, it truly is a pleasure to hear from you again. Please forgive me for my absence.

I have been in good health, besides being nagged and hinted at constantly to find a wife. It is most unsettling how often they choose to prod at me to do so on a daily basis. How have you been faring?

I shall have you on the list right before myself once we start a list of the pilots. You have my word.

Consider yourself forgiven. If anybody should be asking for that, it's me. I've been letting the media eat me up these past few weeks.

On a daily basis? Jeez, sounds like they've been taking notes from Jordan's mom... well, like I said, I've been "in the public eye" for a little too long. An offworld race would be a very welcome vacation. Back to listening to a lot of old music I've never heard before, though, so I guess I'm good. ♥

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeethankssomuch!

How has the media been... eating you?

I take it his mother was constantly asking when the two of you were getting married, am I correct?

You are quite welcome. Anything for an old friend. Also, I am quite looking forward to another race with you, if you would do me the honor, after the official races have concluded.

Not literally! Just... augh. I've got my bodyguard fielding calls now. My bodyguard. Dad's thinking about getting me a secretary.

Oh, was she ever. And now she wants to know when we're having kids.

I wouldn't miss that for the world, Aikka.

Sometimes having an assistant or an adviser to do seemingly menial tasks can help lessen one's burden if you are pressed for time.

I am sure that must be... quite pleasant.

It does my heart well to hear that.

Yeah, I know... but seriously, this is just one more person making me feel uncomfortably grown up. (Like being married at eighteen wasn't weird enough....)

Oh yeah, it's even more pleasant than having your foot slammed in a steel door!

I'm glad.

As much as we might wish for it, we cannot remain young forever.

I pray to Dol Arrah their persistence may lessen in time.

As am I.

Yeah... still, I feel like I've grown up too fast. There's a big part of me that doesn't feel almost nineteen at all.

And I'm not that religious, but... well, I go light candles in the Catholic church near here with similar prayers, sometimes.

Most never truly do feel their age.

You do not need to be religious to pray, though I am sure some greater force hears you.

...true.

Considering I'm half of one, I'm not sure, but... thanks, Aikka.

This is true, but the Avatar, while people may pray to them, seems to be the figurehead of no religion in particular, or perhaps all religions. An intriguing debate.

It is. I just wonder... is it hypocritical for a god to believe in a higher god?

I have never had such a peculiar dilemma, though personally, would you not regard them on a parallel level?

I... I don't know. I'm not sure how I should, y'know?

I apologize that I could not be of more assistance, it truly is a perplexing situation.
