I do not recall eating any seafood. Is it possible that new food caused this... ice cream, you called it? Or perhaps it was that odd melon... I think I may have swallowed a few seeds.

Oh, that story about swallowing seeds and having a watermelon grow in your stomach is just a myth! Something little kids would tell to scare each other. They're perfectly harmless.

I dunno. You did eat quite a bit of ice cream. But usually, when you stuff yourself, your only sick for a little while. How long has this been going on?

In any case, once I am feeling well again, I received a message from the Nourasian Court. I am to visit the Earth Coalition president to further our talks when he goes to his vacation home at the Chateau Villete. I am afraid I will not be able to hold out to my promise until afterwards. You have my apologies and my word that I will keep my promise upon my return.

S-sorry ... Just, the whole thing really caught me by surprise.

That's fine, Aikka. This is more important right now. We need to try and nip this thing in the bud before an all-out war can break out. Despite the military strength of the Earth Coalition, the Crogs have far more experience in interplanetary battle, and their physical prowess second to none. A conflict of this magnitude ... could very well tear the galaxy apart.

((It's fine! Just one note: the President is a female. Barbara Cartwright. She was MacMillan's VP, before he went off the deep end. We'll all get together in chat one of these days and hammer out more details, but for now, nothing MAJOR is happening. Just a lot of foreshadowing ...))
