Wow, your plate is pretty full right now, isn't it? It's gotta be hard being a Mom and feeling sad at the same time. Not being able to explain this to Kiara.
Death, like weddings brings out the primal instincts in people. They hate the pain of not being able to see grandma again so they figure some alive is better than not alive at all. Hope in the face of death can be powerful IF it's the person themselves.
In dealing with hospice work- we have time to prepare families so they accept the endings when they come. It's not usually the patients who can't deal, it's the families. Sometimes I think people just want to see a miracle to prove to themselves they exist, that god is listening. The universe listened and she's already up there listening too now. That's the miracle of our lives- we are more than the physical form.
I could say all the things people say but you know the truth: you're hurting and it'll take time. Bless you for knowing that!
