Hi Fic Writers...um...Thanks!
I've not had a very good Bank Holiday Weekend. I spent one day crying my little eyes out. You know when you cry so much that you think you can't possibly cry anymore, and then you start again? Yeah I had a day like that. Nothing awful happened or anything, like illness or death, I was just being a silly little sausage about something.
Then my mum got ill, so had to go to the hospital with her, but luckily she's lots better and at home now.
Anyway, so to cut an uninteresting story short, I've been majorly behind on my Merlin fic. I don't think I've read hardly any in over a year. I thought the best way to get back into it was through PaperLegends from this year, so this week, I've chucked myself into it. I'm so glad I did. It's been a bit of a god send as a great bit of escapism this week when I needed it. I've very much enjoyed it, and what I've read so far has been fantastic. I haven't made that much of a dent into it, but I'm ploughing through! So...yeah...thanks fic writers, you've raised my spirits somewhat. I'll try and comment on your fics as I go. It may be a bit of a delayed comment though, but I'll get round to it eventually.
So, I was wondering, since I'm so behind, has anyone got any good recs for Merlin fics from about the last 12/18 months? Chances are I would have missed anything good. I thought I'd see if anyone else had enjoyed anything I could put on my 'Autumn/Winter' reading list. Self-recs entirely welcome too. I don't really have any other requirements . Oh, except I obviously prefer them to be Arthur/Merlin in some sort of way or general. Anything else and I'll print off and burn*. ;)
(* I am of course joking. I would never print off something and burn it. That would be ridiculous and a waste of paper. I'll just have to smash my computer up and use the parts to build killer robots. I'm all about saving the environment.)
