The time I made a poll

Oct 05, 2006 23:59

Almost the weekend, I should really try and finish at least 1 of my 5 assignments due soon, that way I won't be flooded with work in the next two weeks. God I can't wait to exams are over, I love the feeling of not have to do anything, my last holiday was plagued with the thought of school work and exams, but the great thing about end of year is ( Read more... )

I use neither, I only update via the 'Semagic' Client.

I use Semagic most of the time. But when I don't I use plain text due to the fact that the Rich Text Editor sometimes puts strange coding in there.

I use the strong and em tags because they're compliant for individuals who are sight-impaired and use speech software to read web sites. That's what they're for. :-)

Ahh is Semagic any good? I like using the rich text mode when posting pictures because it uploads to your LJ space.

I didn't know that, I'm just so use to using bold, i've even set my bold on my css to look a certain way.

Semagic is wonderful. Sets up tables, formats the way you want, has drop-down lists of your user pictures, tags, communities, and friends. Also keeps track of birthdays. Handy. :-)

I use semagic too.

I've never been a fan of rich text though. I'd much rather have plain text and code the thing myself.

I didn't realise so many people use semagic, I'll have to check it out.

Rich text mode, at least from my experience, limits the amount of space you can use for each post. I tried it at first, because like you said: easy, but it kept coming up with weird coding, and then saying that the post was too long (even if it wasn't that long at all). *shrugs* I gave up and just code stuff myself now, even if it is a pain in the butt.

Yeah I hate the code the rich text mode spits out all this stuff you son't need. People above have mentioned Semagic, I'll have to play around with it, hopefully it doesn't spit out horrible coding.
