Requiem for Republicans/ precursor to LotR

I've been getting some classical today. In particular, I've been listening to various online versions of Mozart's "Requiem". The Europa Philharmonic is terribly slow (the Kyrie movement, which sounds normal at 2:30 or so, is 4:14). It ruins the rythm, imho. I found a "german" version linked by wikipedia, it is much better alhtough still slow. Regardless, I'm having a great time with it, with the official announcement of the Republican's demise.

But anyway, that's not quite the point. I found a torrent for Der Ring Des Nibelungen, the entire 18-hour opera(s). Anna's been wanting me to listen to this at some point, and I'm interested, primarily having never heard a Wagner opera, additionally for the LotR connections.

Obviously, I can't make the Ring connections from audio only, but...I'll research a bit about it, translated text and the like.

Just putting it out there for anyone else interested. A $160 value - yours free!

Actually, I feel slightly guilty about downloading classical music (since they typically need the monetary support), but I'll support them when I can.
