What do you mean it's been forever since I posted?
I post constantly! Oh wait, that's on tumblr. And by 'posting' I mean I reblog 99% Glee stuff.
This is not the big background post you might be hoping it is - I apologize, it's just become difficult for me to blog for a multitude of reasons.
However. This post is necessary.
There will be no big birthday party this year. Not at my house like last year, or at The Mint like the previous seven years. And not because I'm being melodramatic or worrying about money or any other reason like that. It's because I'll be out of town that weekend.
Thanks to a friend from competitions who will be roadtripping down anyway, I'm going to be attending an open call audition for The Voice in LA on Sunday, April 1. Specifically the afternoon session, but you know I'll be there the whole day lol. I don't have a place to stay figured out yet or anything else, but I've got the ride there and the belief that if ever I'm going to get a fair audition as a singer who is gay, fat, and singing country, this is it.
I've already been dropping weight due to a Biggest Loser competition I'm doing with friends, and this is even more incentive so I can wear things that make me feel good while I perform. It also means no more smoking. And for the moment, no drinking either (I don't need the calories anyway).
And if nothing else, I'll get to say to some NBC official the phrase I stole from Lindsay four years ago - music is life, karaoke is oxygen.
