I should sleep, but in my efforts to update more frequently-
Today I was on my way home from my management class at the regional corporate offices. It's a really interesting office... there's about 50 years of happy meal toys, plus lifesize statues of Ronald McDonald, and lots of representations of the original designs, logos, and ideas. It's very colorful too which I like. But the class is boring as hell. Someone asked me why I always look tired/bored in class, and I was so confused- it's not possible someone thinks it's fun or interesting, is there? I said that I usually close on Sunday nights and then work Monday morning so I'm generally low on sleep- which is true. But I look bored because I AM BORED!!! But I'm on my way home, it's maybe 10.15, and i go to turn onto a different street- I ooched up and had to stop because there was a car going by, and traffic was about 45. And it happened to be a cop. So I pulled out after him, and through some nasty series of turns and lane changes, he ended up behind me. I don't like having cops behind me, it makes me nervous, so I turned onto the first street available.... and he followed me. So I'm starting to think 'oh shit' but couldn't figure out anything I had done wrong (which only made it scarier). Then, the blue lights go on, and that huge bright spotlight turns onto my car too, and I pulled over and rolled my window down. The guy came by and asked for my liscense and wanted to know where I was going. Then he asked if I was a teacher, which seemed weird- I told him I work for corporate McDonald's and he said something like "ah ok," handed the liscense back and said I could head off. I was pretty suprised and I unintentionally blurted out "really?" and he looked at me funny and said yes. As he turned to walk back to the car I asked why he had pulled me over (because if he had some cause to stop me, wouldn't he comment on it? Or write me a ticket? Or do anything more than just look at my liscense?) and he said it was just a random seat belt check. God, talk about having a stroke. It was so weird. But I didn't argue at all- I headed off and headed home. Eh. So weird.
But now I'm off to bed because I'm really tired. Oh- the answers to the quiz in my last post are posted under the comments section. Nice guessing Becky and Emily!!
