Soooo tell me...
What do you do when your friend calls you, and asks you if you think they can get a job with you? You say, sure! Go ahead, you say!
You train them, you introduce them to all your managers...around the same time your being considered for a raise and a promotion.
Alright, now jump forward to your friend's first day at work...they're supposed to be there at 5. Around 6:30...she's not there. Sooo you call her cell phone..no answer. You call her house...her mom says she left around 4:30 in uniform. So you call her other job, and they haven't seen her. So you flip out, your managers are wondering what the hell is wrong with you. Next day comes, no show again for a shift. No call. No call, no show. Then a few days later, you get a call from a manager...he says that your general manager tried to call your friend...and talked to a parent, but that the general manager was told that your friend hadn't been seen since Sunday. Then your manager himself calls the parents, and they have no idea what he's talking. So then you realize that you've been totally screwed, after worrying for a week that something was seriously wrong with your friend. Then you notice your "friend" has not only screwed you over at work, but doesn't even have the decency to explain why. Even going so far as to remove you from their livejournal friend list so that you can't read any entry possibly explainging WHY they decided that you mean ABSOLUTLY nothing to anyone. Why do some people feel like they can write off other people as non-human. That we're all here just to submit to their every whim. Well, guess what, I AM a human. I AM pissed off. I WANT A FREAKING EXPLAINATION! Not only did this "friend" of mine screw me over, she screwed over everybody I work with. I have worked at GameWorks now for four years, and I am very close to my job and my coworkers. I take it very seriously, and to have her just pretend that we DON'T matter...SEVERLY PISSES ME OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
