a traumatic morning...

So last night, i decided to go to 80's night with chel, rachel and kacie. Everything was coo, we all had a good time. We had to leave extra early though b/c chel had an early interview off I- 285 so we had to get her home. But I didn't mind too much, I was getting pretty tired.

So I figured when I went to sleep by about 2 am, I would get about a good 9 hours of sleep before I had to meet up with my debate group at noon today.

wrong.

Around 6:10 a.m. I was awoken by a sound that I totally thought was just in my head... the sound of a girl screaming bloody murder. When I first heard it I was so drowsy that I knew it must have been fake... then it happened again... and again, and didn't stop. At this point I froze and couldn't quite tell where it was coming from but I narrowed it down to the apt above us. Then I heard Lacey and her bf open their door, and that's when I knew they heard it too. I ran out into the kitchen and lacey's man decided to run up to the apt above us to see wtf was going on, and ready to kick some major ass, while still hearing her screaming. it was the scariest situation i've been in, literally thinking someone was getting raped or murdered right above us. So finally he gets to the door and the roomate of the fucked up girl answered the door and tells him that she had just found out that someone had died, the roomate didn't tell him who, but supposedly it was a boyfriend or parent or someone really close to her.

thank god no one was hurt.

But honestly, if you found out that someone was killed or died, I really don't think I would react in such a frantic/out of control manner. I know people deal with death in a different view, but DAMN. I just feel even worse to the roomates who had to hear it 10 x louder and have to see her like that.

thankfully after he went up to check on the situation, she stopped screaming. And it took me a good hour or so to finally doze off again, ofcourse after I stopped shaking and got my heart beat back to normal.

what a fucked up morning. I gotta get out of this apt.
