I *heart* Nathan Fillion, and other musings
I was just watching previews for Drive. I think, right now, Nathan Fillion is the one actor I would actually start watching a whole new show for. Buffyverse actors, they are their characters to me, I'm not really interested in seeing them in different roles... maybe Eliza Dushko...but no one else. Nathan, I really like him as an actor, and really want to see him in other roles. I never got as into Firefly as I got into Buffy either, so it's not like he is Mal to me, or anything. And he's nice to look at. It's funny, 'cause I didn't really like his looks at first, he's not precisely classically good-looking, but there's something about him... maybe the way his face displays emotion. He has very expressive eyes. They're nice. :-)
Also, I was watching The Daily Show, and they were showing clips of Hillary Clinton giving a speech at a black church in Alabama, and she kept talking about "we" and "us", and she started kinda imitating a southern accent, and it was just... *facepalm*... oh, Hillary...
I'm definitely going to read the Marvel Civil War series when it comes out in trade paperback. That sounds just plain interesting. Yay, comics! Comics are my new love. I also want to check out Runaways.
The Daily Show also had a bit about the mysterious deaths of Russian journalists. It's scary, how Russia is just receding into autocracy. It makes me scared for Ukraine (I'm Ukrainian-Canadian), as Russians don't really seem to have come to terms with the fact that it's its own country now. The thing with Russia is that they seem to have given up on democracy altogether. Not even interested anymore. And Putin is so very popular, there's graphic tees with his image on them, and there was a pop song called "I Want To Marry A Man Like Vladimir Putin" or something along those lines. It's just... again with the *facepalm*.
