Thoughts on History

So, I'm in the midst of doing my readings for my history course, and they talk about readings of peoples personal journals and stories they have written and how those things contribute to our understanding of the time period,, and it has me wondering what the internet will mean thousands of years from now. Will all of this one day be lost because there is no hard copy, or will we forever have a huge database from which we can learn about the ancient civilization we will one day become? Will someone one day be in the business of studying blogs as historical writings? Even perhaps, reading my lowly little blog about nothing? How will they perceive us - it's sad that perhaps history textbooks may one day focus on the hundreds and thousands of porn sites we have, or attempt an artistic study of those fucking precious moments figurines.

Feeling very small in a very big world.
