Being in Madison's weyr is weird.

Seteth's Inner Serenity Ledge(#2154RJs)
Long use has worn the once-rough edges of this ledge glassy smooth. Average-sized to hold a single large dragon or a couple of smaller ones, its flat surface extends from the front of a dark opening in the bowl weyr. Just past that opening is the dragon's couch, a thin brown-and-blue coverlet providing some padding to the cold stone. The inner room is curtained off with a fine tapestry of High Reaches Weyr and the surrounding mountains.

Wyaeth arrives. As promised. N'thei seems to have some problem locating exactly which ledge he's looking for, and he has the bronze circling the bowl twice before they land with the usual thud, the usual scrabble of gunmetal talons for purchase on the stone. Clearing his throat, the weyrling hops down and looks around uncertainly. "Mad...die?"

You meander into the inner weyr.

"Inside N'thei." Madison's voice comes from the inner weyr, the tapestry pulled slightly open. "Come on in." Strangely, Madison is wearing a nice spring dress of green color. The other odd thing is that it curves around in what are rapidly developing curves. She seems to have been waiting for N'thei's arrival as a table is placed out with some juice in one glass and obvious wine in another. She's seated on one of the large pillows in front of the table.

Madison's Inner Serenity Weyr
Behind the hanging are only a few sparse furniture pieces. A new cloth covered footstool sits near a stone ledge that has been carved into a rough bed, made comfortable by the generous application of sleeping furs and a fluffy pillow. At the bed's foot is the clothes press, also stone; an alcove with an iron rail across the top provides a space to hang up a few items. To better insulate the weyr, a few more tapestries adorn the wall, each depicting an idyllic scene of the natural world: woods, waterfall, fields, and beaches.

N'thei looks around with the general air of a bull in a china closet, a very small china closet at that. Still, he manages to say something polite enough; "Nice digs, kid. I have you beat for a view, but you win the furniture battle." Either he takes no notice of Madison's developments, or he's bound and determined to pretend that way, his smile polite and straightforward. "Something you need, hon?"

Madison chuckles a bit. "I bet you do." Madison says before she motions to the pillow across from her. "I want you to listen. Please don't speak." She begins by taking a sip of her juice. "I was very mad at you because of A'son and Talien. Mad enough to hurt you." She says, looking out towards the shelf. "But then Seteth helped me realize something. It's not your fault those things happened. And," At this the young woman pauses and leans over to look up at him. "I want you to know that to.." she says. "I don't want it hurting you."

N'thei fails to sit. Maybe it's because of the suddenness of Madison's words, or the seeming seriousness that accompanies what she has to say. Even when she's done speaking, he continues to stand in silence and waits for permission to proceed. His thumb hitched in his back pocket, he looks down at the greenrider with a raised brow. Now?

"Go ahead N'thei. And please sit down." Madison says, reaching out and taking her juice and drinking more of it. "Otherwise I look the poor host." She murmurs. "I'll listen."

Graciously, N'thei manages to stand without looking like he's about to bolt, a trick of posture and easy smiling; "I'm fine, Maddie. There's no one around to make you look the poor anything, so don't worry about it." Benign about it, he answers the actual topic for his visit; "I appreciate the sentiments, and for all the trouble you've put forth to make them."

"Please." Madison stands up and moves over to make a grab for N'thei's arms to try and pull him down. "Sit down. It's very impolite to stand. I'm short enough as it is." With her chest right at waist level for N'thei. "You make me feel like a midget." She looks up towards the much larger man.

N'thei runs a hand across the top of his head in a gesture of sheer impatience, something he's generally quite good about keeping in check. The one arm caught, he more sinks to the cushion than is pulled to it, since it's not exactly like a little Madison could compel big N'thei. "So I sit. You've unburdened yourself."

"Two things. First." Madison leans over and gives N'thei a huge hug, wrapping her arms around his shoulders and head and pulling him close to her. "Your loved by all of us, N'thei. Even the others." She offers before pulling back. "Second. Drink your wine. I can't have it, so." She motions to the cup.

N'thei is bemused. The whole thing just confuses the hell out of him. Being hugged only drives home the point, and he patpats Madison on the back in a useless way; "Thank you. Really. I do appreciate the sentiment. And the effort. And the wine. But you don't need to do all this. I'm fine. Calm down." He puts her away carefully and, to be polite, takes a sip.

Madison nods a bit as she moves over to sit down on her pillow. "well have you found yourself a gal yet? A'son has." She says to him. "What about you?" She drinks her juice some more, slower this time.

"No?" N'thei continues feeling weird and showing it. He puts the glass back down and folds his hands, then refolds them, then cracks a still-bemused smile. "But I'm not exactly looking for one, contrary to popular opinion. You?" Pause. "A boy, I suppose I mean."

"I'm almost fourteen." Madison says and bites on her bottom lip. "And I'd better get some things resolved before Seteth flies." She offers before giving a soft sigh. "And no, not yet. all the one's my age are.." She makes a face. "Annoying. And no one older looks at me like I'm a girl." She points to her chest. "I have boobs now!"

N'thei stands up again, all at once. This time, no amount of prying on his arm is going to change matters. "All right then. Time for me to be going." There's confused, and then there's oh-my-god-so-uncomfortable; N'thei reaches the latter stage abruptly and wears it on his face in the form of furrowed brows, crinkled forehead, and downturned lips.

Madison blinks a bit at that. "I can't even talk to my clutchmates about things!" She grrs, sighing. "I don't mean you, you thick numbskull!" She tells him before she makes a face. "You and A'son are like brothers to me. That's all." She groans and shakes her head back and forth. "Nevermind."

N'thei sticks with his earlier decision, his smile seemingly permanent at this point. "Right. Well. Thanks for the wine. You have yourself a good night, Madison." He could probably get out to the ledge quicker, but he might get hurt in the process.

Madison makes a face and waves. "Take care."
