I've always thought Ryan would be kind of stand-offish at first, until someone gets to know him.

I couldn't not mention the bond Mike and Ryan had. It'd be ... awkward (I guess, would be the best way to put it) not to mention it.

Ooh, now that you've mentioned Bugsy/Smith slowdancing!fic all I could think about was this song by John Mayer: Slow Dancing in a Burning Room.

Specifically this part of the song:

Truth be told, I kind of had that song on repeat when I was writing 'Burning Oneself In'. It's become my Bugsy/Smith anthem, or something. I may also have started a fanmix for those two. Ugh, what is my life. *facepalm*

As for the next chapter ... I'm debating whether or not to post it before or after I post the last 'Hide the Night' part. Timeline wise, it could work either way.
