So... I wanted to go see the Mates of State show tonight. But my parents have gone to Galveston (my mom needs to buy something over there?) and have taken my car because something is wrong with my Dad's Expedition. I can't drive that big car, so I'm supposed to amuse myself at home today. I sat outside in my robe for a while with Daisy, enjoyed the fresh air. I exfoliated, showered, watched some tv, flipped through a magazine. Okay, I have to post excerpts from this "Little Hotties" story...
"Agnes Nairn and Paricia Gaya Wicks, professors of business at the University of Bath, an d Christine Griffin, their colleague in the psychology department, published a study earlier this year revealing that seven-to-eleven-year-old girls enjoyed destroying barbies."
and then it gets better...
"First girl: Our friend does that with Barbies.
Second Girl: Yeah, she microwaves them.
Interviewer: She microwaves them? Oh, gosh."
First Girl: Did she parachute one out of the house?"
Second Girl: Yeah, she parachuted one out of the house and it landed in the next-door neighbour's garden."
Okay, but the main point of the article was the new popularity of the Bratz dolls. Here's a description, that I read over that last line several times in delight: "Bratz dolls have large heads and skinny bodies; their almond-shaped eyes are tilted upwards at the edges and adorned with thick crescents of eye shadow, and their lips are lush and pillowy, glossed to a candy-apple sheen and rimmed with dark lip liner. **They look like pole dancers on their way to work at a gentleman's club."
Somehow this reminded me, the Mr. Topkat competition was last night. Chad Bauman won, which I don't support. I wanted either Jack Carson, Brian Fisher, or a junior named Billy to win. Anyways, it was hilarious. Several guys ripped their shirts off and really resembled the Hulk. I've never liked the Bearkadettes, but I have to say, their "Kwanzaa" dance was Amazing. I wonder how Mr. Huff felt watching all those boys thrust and strut and... tumble. lol. When he was on stage, Abby yelled something along the lines of "Mr. Huff is oh so buff!" ... I'll end on that note.
