kaiba_katt CHARACTER INFORMATION-
Canon Character and Series: Sonic the Hedgehog from the video games series
In-Game Name: Sonic the Hedgehog (or Sonic Hedgehog if you so wish)
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Position & Ship: CARPENTER on the WINDING WAY
Appearance: Sonic is a blue, anthropomorphic hedgehog standing at 3'3" with five long blue quills
on the back of his head, two on his spine and a small tail. He has large eyes that are connected with
lime green irises. He also wears white gloves and red and white sneakers. But for this RP, I'll be
changing that up a bit. Sonic is wearing a bandana that is tied under one of his head quills and
covers his forehead, letting his ears poke out of the top. He's wearing a brown vest and instead of
red and white sneakers, he's wearing black boots. His gloves are now brown and fingerless.
He's also got an earring in his right ear.
Personality: Sonic is a happy-go-lucky type. It seems he's always trying to be in good spirits, and
usually manages it. He never likes to hear the bad side of things and continually tries to remain
positive. Sonic is always on the side of the underdog, doing whatever is in his power to help them.
Because of his love of adventure, he adores any kind of dealings he can get himself into, be they
with pirates, crooks, etc. Even though he's got this kind of personality, he's not above being prideful.
The blue hedgehog has his own pride and when it's threatened, he'll do anything to prove he's better
than whoever is attacking him.
Sonic tends to become a little reckless and often times rejects the help of his allies and
friends in order to prove how great he is. When this happens though, he often times ends up needing
their help. Despite his pride issues and reckless behaviour, Sonic hardly ever gets really angry, and
if he ever does, he tends to just shrug it off and continue on. He’s not the type to hold grudges unless
it’s against someone who challenged his speed and won, or has injured his friends.
Abilities/Weapons: Sonic can run at the speed of sound, which means he can also build, fasten and
help out at supersonic speed. Which would also mean he'd be good at pickpocketing. He can also
breathe in space, apparently.
Sonic’s other skills include his infamous spin dash, in which he rolls himself into a prickly ball
of spines and rolling at enemies and obstacles at high speeds. While in ball form, he can bounce like
a rubber ball in order to crash into enemies and reach higher places. If he’s near a path of rings, he
can run along them and collect them... but that’s not going to be used here because there aren’t
rings.
Weaknesses: Water. This brave hero can't swim, which means any place involving water is a no-
Sonic zone. If forced to enter an aquatic area, the hedgehog is only able to walk on the sea floor and
will require help if he’s to get anywhere else. He can’t use his speed while underwater, either. Also,
when his friends are in danger, he gets very angry. Though Sonic barely ever gets angry, when he
does, he becomes quite reckless and doesn’t really pay attention to what he’s doing.
Sonic’s performance is also very weak when in slippery areas as his running ability is
reduced dramatically. When you run on ice, you tend to slip and fall or if you’re like this supersonic
hedgehog, you can only run in one place.
History: Sonic was born and raised in Vohemar, living on the outskirts of Berum, the unsaid capital
of the country, having to deal with fighting against persistent monsters to protect his family and
anyone living on his land. He was a hedgehog, but he was an anthropomorphic hedgehog, along
with his family, which meant he was considered to be apart of the monster race by those who
decided to tread on his family's land.
This made life all the more difficult, because Sonic would have to dress up very well in order
to hide what he looked like from the public when he'd go to town with his family. At a young age, he
had learned of his innate ability to run at incredible speeds, but he had no idea where he could have
gotten this ability... His parents couldn't run at such speeds and no one he knew could move like he
could either. The young hedgehog grew more and more curious about this ability and its origins and
had decided that someday, he would learn the truth.
As the years went by, Sonic became more and more risking in his day to day activities. He
realized that he could tread on other people's lands without getting caught, and when he did, he
could get out of there before they could ever catch him. His parents, however, told Sonic that what
he was doing was not any good and although he thought it was fun, it could get him into grave
danger one day, and that they never wanted to see their only son end up never being seen again.
So, Sonic decided he'd stop doing his favourite hobby and only use his speed to carry out
errands for his parents. However, one day, he realized he couldn't just do errands anymore. One
day, while in town, he noticed something really unjust. There was an elderly woman being robbed of
her earnings... by the military soldiers! Sonic knew this wasn't right and decided that because no one
was helping her, he'd have to do it himself. He knew his parents didn't want him getting in danger,
but what else could he do? He wasn't a kid anymore by his standards... he was already 14. He could
do this!
Wasting no time, the blue blur quickly sped into the scene, spinning around the soldiers,
stealing back the money they'd stolen and dropping it in front of the old woman before anyone could
notice. Excited and ecstatic, the young hedgehog returned home to tell his parents of his good deed,
but they didn't seem all that impressed. They were instead very angry and told Sonic that what he'd
done was a terrible idea. What if he'd been caught? What if he'd been seen? What if, what if, what
if... Sonic hated it. He'd just saved an old woman and this was the thanks he got? He quickly ran up
to his room and slammed the door closed, frustrated that his parents wouldn't see the good he'd
done.
They were worried about him? They had a bad way of showing it! Sonic wanted to help
people, and even though his parents were angry at him, his thoughts of helping people never
changed. He soon realized that if he were ever going to break free of his parents’ hold on him and be
able to further help people more in the world, he'd have to leave home and do things on his own. But
how was he going to do any of this? Vohemar was a tough place to live, anyway you looked at it...
And there were a lot of people that needed help. He sighed, looking out his window and up at the
night sky.
Before giving up all hope, he saw what he needed. His inspiration. A large ship flew
overhead, blanketing the moon and the stars for a moment before continuing its course. Sonic
watched in awe, amazed by this ship. He decided then and there. If he were to help people at all,
and get that sense of adventure he'd always been dreaming of... He needed to get on board a sky-
ship... And get off of Vohemar. "I can do it!"

Third Person (roleplay):
"You pesky little rat! Get back here!" Shouted a large man, turning and reaching for the quick blue
hedgehog.
"Not until you get my species right, tubby!" came the reply of none other than Sonic the Hedgehog,
who was skillfully holding off a bunch of burly men while some less fortunate people made their
escape, "And also, what's the deal here? Attacking a bunch of kids! You guys are worse than candy
stealers."
"Shut it, hedgehog!" said another man, who was much taller than the others. He dove for the boy, but
missed, of course.
"Saaaay! Finally, someone got my species right! Okay, I'll stay still long enough for you guys to catch
me." Sonic grinned, standing in one place, arms raised as if he were giving up, "Come on, I haven't
got all day!"
The men looked at each other, unsure of how to take this. What was this kid trying to do? Was he
trying to trick them? Was it a hoax? Or was he actually telling the truth? Deciding that this was taking
too long, one man took out a pistol and aimed it at the blue hedgehog, "Say yer prayers!"
Sonic gasped and leapt out of the way of the firing pistol, jumping up and landing on the back of the
larger man from earlier, "Heeey! I said so you can catch me, not shoot at me! The game's off, I'm
outta here!" It was pretty fun at first, but once firearms started getting used, the blue hedgehog
decided it was time to go. The last thing he wanted was for any innocent bystanders to get shot.
When the large man attempted to throw off Sonic, the blue hedgehog simple jumped off his back
and landed a few feet away.
He had to think of a way to keep these dudes busy so the people could at least run out of the way.
He stopped and grinned. Well, what usually worked? "Hey, guys, where are you looking? I’m in plain
view! This isn’t Boston in the fall you know!"
When the burly men finally looked, there stood Sonic the Hedgehog, atop a market table, "I'm right
here! Come and get me!" They charged at the boy, all aiming to get him at once, but the hedgehog
was no slow-mo. It took more than that to stop this dude! Sonic laughed and leapt out of the way,
rolling into his spiny-ball form before rolling down the streets, deciding now was the best time to
escape.
First Person (journal):
Dear Diary (or something)
What happened to me today. Well, it was pretty fun, I guess. It would have been a lot cooler if some
guy hadn't taken out his pistol and fired it at me. But, I managed to save those kids from getting
attacked. Seriously, who attacks kids? It's totally not right to do.
Mom and Dad, I know you two are doing well. I don't even have to question that. There's nothing that
could ever bring you two down, and that's a fact. But still, stay safe, okay? I'll be home one day and
I'll have gone on so many adventures you won't even believe it!
If only I could board that giant ship I saw that one day. It was so cool... No more "What If"s, I know I'll
get onboard someday! I just gotta believe.
As for those big guys that attacked the kids, I confused them and got away safe and sound. After,
though, those kids found me and asked me who and what I was. I guess people around here
consider me to be apart of the monster class... Oh well, can't help that, right? I think I'm a lot more
handsome than any monster. I made friends with the kids and we played together for the rest of the
day. I just love being who I am- Sure, Vohemar may be tough, but I'm tougher!
