*sigh* Where has the time gone?
Well, well ... its almost the end of Jan! SCARY!!!! Where has the time gone? Summer has been ok, apart from the weather ... done a bit of road trippin round the sth is so thats been a good thing to see diff parts of the country. Havent exactly started the academic year off that well (doin 2 summer school courses to finish off degree) (uni hasnt gone that bad either - yet)... but Ive procrastinated a lot and now Im paying the price ... I knew I should have done some of my assessment 2wks ago to get it out of the way cos I wouldnt have time now ... and guess what! Its 10pm and Im using one of the gay comps at uni where the apostrophe key doesnt work when using mozilla (it just switches to quick find ... grrr) and Ive got to be back at uni by 9am tomorrow all prepared to do a paper review .... AHHH! Well today wasnt so stressful .. i did wake up in hamner springs after catching up with my mate (and her parents) whos just returned from 2mths in antartica for her masters research so it was good to see her and have a bit of a girly gossip chat (which was too short but we were both shattered from travelling - me driving down from kaikoura - so had to sleep). On the otherhand ... I am officially homeless once again as I dont have a flat (Im crashing in my mates place cos she went home for a week). So heaps of my time is going into flat issues rather than uni ... grr but a necessity .. pity uni has to suffer though cos I would prefer it didnt.
quick goss on whats going on in my life:
- getting over field trips now (Ive got a week of day trips this week then 2 wks off then a really hard out 5day one just before uni) ... i dont want to see anymore greywacke or limestone (pitty theyre the main rocks that make up NZ and my major is in geology) :s
- Im starting to like a guy who isnt really appropriate for me to like when it comes down to the unwritten rules of 1) dont get with a guy who ur friend used to like or got with & 2) Dont get with a mates mate & 3) dont get involved with anyone from ur major subject .... *sigh* but hes tall, smart and attractive ... and planning on leaving the country in the 2nd half of the year to get a job (bugger!)
-homeless ... again .... *sigh* And Im not the picky one this time cos im so over it I just dont care. I just want a nice 3bd flat where i dont have to pay more than $100 rent pw + exp. too much to ask?
