XD And the intro is done. I'm guessing that next week's pages will be posted along with the old ones :). Make sure to shield your eyes :O.
It felt good to have some dialogue involving one of the main characters. Clearly Ten's not the kind of guy to hold a grudge... and may not be totally sane from certain perspectives XP.
I wanted to include some extra content this time -- so here's the process I go about to make pages :D. Recently started doing two at once (which works pretty well for me).
It all starts with a sketch :B. As you can see from the bottom right, sometimes I use Photoshop's 'Vanishing Point' filter to figure out perspective (is a big fat cheater).
Then I ink the sketch with the regular brush. Usually I flip the drawing horizontally first so I can catch any goofy mistakes (which happens more often than not).
Next come the background and base 'colors' for the characters. I fill the latter in using the paint bucket tool :D.
Lastly I add in shadows and highlights using Multiply and Overlay layers, respectively. Then there's the speech bubbles and minor color shift to blue -- but that's boring :P.
Oh, also, I had to ref those three poses for Seta on page 27. There was no one around to help me, so I did it myself XD.
As you can see, through the magic of Photoshop, I cloned myself, killed the clone, and proceeded to make weird poses behind his corpse :B. Note: this is probably the only time I'll be showing my ugly mug on the internets XD.
