Eeeee! Harry Potter!
Yay! Thanks keltyc! Harry Potter was pretty awesome! I laughed so much! The twins were awesome, Snape was awesome, Lucius was awesome, Barty Crouch Jr. was all kinds of hot...until he started being all creepy tongue person. But he's going to be the new Dr. Who (the 11th Doctor)...this Christmas!
Ooh! And guess what I noticed! The tapestries that are hanging in the Gryffindor common room are from The Lady and the Unicorn series, specifically, I saw A Mon Seul Désire. The only reason I recognized it was because I just finished The Lady and the Unicorn by Tracy Chevalier (of Girl With A Pearl Earring fame). And right now I'm reading The Seventh Unicorn by Kelly Jones, which is about the same-ish subject. Ugh...but it's a little hard to get through, 'cause the author uses some french phrases...but it seems like they've been translated by Babelfish...
French medieval tapestries are nifty, until recently, the only one I'd heard about was the Bayeux Tapestry...which is cool 'cause it shows that Halley's Comet made an appearance during the Battle of Hastings in 1066. Yes...I know I'm a nerd...and freakishly obssessed with English history...shutup!
