Witchcraft: I Haz It.

Jan 16, 2009 10:44

(This is an update to the earlier voice post, but I'm re-capping in case you didn't listen to my voice post.)

As soon as I got to the office this morning I remembered that I left the oatmeal that I purchased on the dining room table at home. That means that I didn't have breakfast. Because I didn't want to go hungry, I took a moment this morning to enchant the table in the office kitchen--I sang and chanted, and drew the "Pertho" rune in the air over the table. (Which I associate with abundance as well as chance--it is a dice cup, but also a basket overflowing with fruit--and the original rune could mean "pear tree.") While I drew, I visualized doughnuts on the table. Boxes of doughnuts, overflowing, spreading abundance. I mentioned that I was "invoking doughnuts" in the earlier voice post.

No one saw me do my little magic, except for one person who is also a pagan. I mentioned casually that I was "invoking doughnuts" to a couple of other people, and we laughed. Yes--my coworkers think I'm crazy.

But then, imagine their response when the executive director brought in several boxes of doughnuts--enough for the entire staff to have two.

I am a powerful Witch. That's all I'm saying.
