I have a job. The Altoona Public Library hired me for a part-time position in their Youth Room. And I've completed my first day already. It's okay. Lots of toddlers...but okay. It's a relief to have some form of employment again. As nice as sitting around all day watching The Daily Show and reruns of Project Runway has been, I was actually feeling pretty useless and getting a bit depressed. Having a responsibility or two is good.
I am really really coming to despise driving though. I just...don't like it. An errand here or there--okay, but commuting + several errands = annoying. It looks like I'll be able to carpool with my mom though a few days.
It really looks like I may end up in NYC if I get into Pratt, program-wise it makes the most sense. I have mixed feelings about this, and I'm not sure whether I should apply for the Spring or wait until the Fall.... Speaking of New York, I got to see Camera Obscura for free my last night in town. They played a cover "Baby Don't Go" by Sonny and Cher. It was cute.
Time to pick my mom up from school, hah.
