Re-re-warmed Pineapple Ginger Green Tea.  Punking out on going out.

This week:

I bought plane tickets to Portland. I am going camping in the woods of Oregon with a bunch o' vegans I've never met, 'cept for the internets (i.e.: isachandra  , cheerjess  , oregoonie  , et al.) the first weekend of August.  Nuts, I know.  Looking at it objectively, I'm a bit in awe of my own wierdness.  Everyone knows two things that do not come into contact are Real Life and The Internet...  Meh.  It feels like forever since I've traveled somewhere new and exciting.  I'm thinking about a side trip along the way to Vancouver and potentially checking out the Library Science program at UBC.

Vegan foodie-ness, or--

Tea and conversation with a friend.  Pictures of red pandas were involved.  The most elusive kind of contentment might be satisfaction in simple interactions with other people, I think.

And bathroom mirror sleepy-face zombie.  Still trying to grow out the hair.  But I reneged, slightly, on self-pledge to stay away from scissors for rapid hair-growth (isn't "rapid hair-growth" one the most infomercial-evoking phrases ever?)  I can't handle the awkward no-style.  My being just revolts.  So now I kind of have something verging on fashion-mullet-ness (!)...I'm not sure how I feel about this.  (I'm sort of afraid I might look like I'm trying to be a hipster...eek.)

After years of avoidance, suspicious of every college-something ever who says they like Radiohead in a slightly-pretentious-aren't-I-hip-and-clever manner, I've come around.  I admit "Creep" always appealed to my soul's emo depths.  But now I'm starting to warm up to Radiohead in general.  Thom Yorke is dreamy.

Looking forward to going home this weekend.  I'm sure there will be good times.
