Hello?
Does anyone use livejournal anymore? Just wondering. If not, I mean, I don't have to just use this for social media. I know I haven't used it in over a year, but that doesn't mean it won't be there for me if I just want to jot down my feelings or something. I guess I just wanted to know in case someone is still out there reading or following or whatever.
I'm back in Florida too. I'm still trying to figure things out in life and learn every day. My daughter, Alyssa, is now 12 years old. Even just yesterday, she was asking me for a baby brother for Christmas....adopted of course. She told me she wanted a baby brother around the age of 3 to take care of him. She even promised that at night she would get up with him if he were crying.
It was cute, but I know reality doesn't work out that way. First, even if things could work that way, money and time are an issue when it comes to adoption. Plus the fact that they don't really look well upon single parents. Then, and here's the big one....if I were to have another child, they would not be in the same situation Alyssa is in right now. Therefore, if she wanted to help take care of her sibling, she would have to come live with me. And there's a whole lot of red tape involved with that.
I really wish I could have her back though....
