People always say that you become a better writer with practice. Writing is NOT a skill that you can just make better by writing over and over again. Writing should always come from your heart. And when the writing comes from your heart, it's the biggest influence of all. Just like for me, I write with my soul. Writing to me is more of a way to express myself from the inside when I can't on the outside. I grew up being the "fat" kid, so I was picked on a lot. Even when I wasn't as big anymore, I was still made fun of. Instead of crying and wallowing in self pity, I would write my feelings out. It would make me feel better. At first, I thought it was just a way to vent. Then, my mother took my writings one day and entered them into a contest. I had to be like ten years old, going through my parent's divorce, my father thinking of remarrying, and me being picked on on a regular basis. Later, I found out, I had a gift. The gift was of free pose poetry. From then on I continued to study all different forms of writing from the lymric to a novel. I even have started writing a couple of novels that I haven't quite finished yet, but will get to some day. So, in short the answer to your question would be my emotions and feelings.
