The weekend out turned out pretty good. They usually do, but this was more of a challange since the apartment is full of people plus Alexa was over. The extra people probably benefited Alexa since I'd rather hang out with her than all those other dorks anyway.

It was all pretty simple. Friday night we out for ice cream with Jessica and enjoyed the recent rediscovery of cable. While I didn't get it on in time to watch those Harold Lloyd films on TCM like I was hoping, I was pretty happy to see that they were Marx Brothers films all night on Friday. So there I am watching Monkey Business on Friday night and here comes Jessica's dad, step-sister, and friend, all frowning at my viewing choice and choosing to hang out on my balcony and smoke dirty cigarettes. And what really sucks is that it makes me feel like a jerk for watching my own television.

Saturday me and Jessica and Alexa saw Ice Princess. Now I have to take Alexa ice skating next time she comes over. Thanks Disney, you bastards!

Sunday Jessica worked all morning so me and Alexa just hung out, watched TV, and went to the pool. Later that night went to Border's and got a book, Hop on Pop. Alexa could read just about the whole thing. It was a good time, but those Dr. Suess books can be way to long sometimes. At page 55 I'm thinking 'come on already!'

Tomorrow is a field trip to a science museum and I am one of the chaperones. I'm sure that bus ride with the 20 or so kindergartners will be interesting.
