Yay!
Good news!
At the end of last semester at Wells, I ran for Corresponding Secretary to Collegiate and President for the class of 2007 during the school elections. I won class President, but lost Collegiate Secretary. (The Collegiate Cabinet is made up of 5 main members who are basically the entire school government, then classes each have their own sub governments.)
Anyways...elections opened up for Collegiate Recording Secretary for Spring 2005. But I didn't run because
A) I was busy and
B) I hate not winning, hehehe.
I thought, "If I'm really meant to do this, I'll get the chance to run when I'm not stuck in Maine and too busy." The nominations were opened a second time for the position. I STILL didn't run. But soon after they closed and I moved on.
Then, I got an email the other day from the current Collegiate Cabinet saying that they had done an internal vote and I had been appointed for the Recording Secretary. Okay, if the officers sit down and randomly select me out of the whole college, I must be meant to do this. I'm happy.
So, I'll be taking over Wells College next semester! (it's a baby step before I take over the world...)
