Summary: Wherein Natasha Romanov has a bucket list and a metaphorical feelings-cat, joins the Victoria Hand Rescue Society Inc, and is absolutely not dating either or both of her super-soldier BFFs from the 1940s, no matter what Nick Fury thinks.
Reccer's Notes: This is Natasha trying to figure out who she is, even if maybe the trajectory is a little off at first, looping in Steve and Bucky in the process. This is messy - which, to be fair, anyone would be, but she and Bucky in particular make it specifically messy when their ideas of who (what, if) a person is clash at one point. It's all really, really wonderful as she discovers good things, stumbles, falls back, gets angry and goes off to shoot some people, discovers maybe she didn't *need* to discover things in the first place, or at least that there was a lot more right in front of her she wasn't seeing, and just generally ends up happy. There were some minor details I wanted to argue, but it's an all around satisfying Natasha fic with some great imagery, some very memorable scenes, and it's going on the to re-read list. <3

Once, Natasha crushes her elbow trying to break out of a ziptie. To be fair, she’s heavily drugged and off-balance because of a broken heel.
Times change. Restraints change.

They really do keep trying to give him away or just flat out kill him, but he's immune to the poison, the coordinates are lost, the engine conks out... You have to be careful picking up strays, see, because you never know exactly what you've picked up.
