Links! Recs! (SH, H5O, IN)
Yuletide is live! The fandoms list is always my jumping off point, although I've not read anything yet. I'll tackle that later today. The servers are doing well at the moment (11 am EST), but that may be because it's a) early and b) actually Christmas. The new servers and infrastructure the OTW has coming this year will be a very good thing. :)
So far there's 2,622 fics, not including Yuletide Treats, which are still to be revealed, and whatever else.
If you're looking for more mainstream fandoms, there's hlh_shortcuts' 4th Annual Highlander Secret Santa Exchange that I haven't even touched yet.
There's also wizefics's annual Recathon which this year includes Buffy, Doctor Who, Firefly, Iron Man, Leverage, The Losers, Sherlock Holmes (all versions), Star Trek AOS, Supernatural, White Collar, X-Men, and crossovers from a variety of fandoms. I have been terribly lax at promoting it this year but I coded for a couple of the entries and there are some new additions to my to read list!
Also on the Not Yet Read list, sanguefic has written another in The Ringmaster 'verse!! Remember, that's the one that's "A circus AU set sometime in the late 19C. McCoy, escaping his failed marriage, has fallen in with Enterprise Circus and works as a hobo clown, as well as crew and animal doctor when needed." YES. THAT ONE. The rest of the summary for part 4a: "This part takes up a few months after he and ringmaster and circus boss, Jim Kirk, spend their first night together. McCoy does not ‘take’ to new trapeze artist, Sulu. This part probably stands alone but would be enjoyed more if you read previous parts so you can ‘enjoy’ the UST. These boys really must stop using sex as a form of communication. What’s wrong with words, I ask you?"
Finally, a few quick recs before I have to get ready to head to mother-in-laws for celebrations. (I'm on the wrong computer for this! Gah. I need my hotkeys and shortcuts.) There's just three but they're very, very good.

And the Heart Lies Deeper Still Than Bones | isagel [Arthur/Eames, NC-17, 12.870 words]
This is the *amazing* follow up to 'On Your Every Body'. The first fic is a pwp that happens to deal beautifully with the dual nature that allows Eames to forge so well. As the author notes, 'If On Your Every Body was the dirty porn, then this is the love story that goes with it.' Such a wonderful fic.
Hawaii Five-O

siria [Steve/Danny, PG-13, 5.190 words]
Steve's trapped in an elevator while the rest of the team try and take out Hesse once and for all *before* the bomb goes off. Great Steve pov, great Danny ranting (always important), and with particular love for Kono (alwaysalwaysalways) and Laura on the bomb squad. Brilliant.
Sherlock Holmes
I Used to Live Alone Before I Knew You | etothepii [John/Sherlock, R, 11.100 words]
Another AMAZING au by etothepii. This one is crossover with Good Omens - from the comments, G.O. fans will be thrilled although I can say that even if you know nothing about G.O., you'll still be in love with it. *g* The characterizations are just brilliant.
...annnnd I'd better go get dressed unless I intend on going in my pajamas. Merry Christmas, everyone!!
