Catching up on some random information and links, yeah?
I picked 24 pounds/10.89 kg of green beans on Monday morning (in a decidedly chilly and rather muddy garden) and processed them that evening. Processing isn't hard, but it is tedious: washing, snapping the ends and in half (then into large bags in the fridge until they're all done and I'm ready for the next step), blanching (3 minutes in boiling water and then 3 minutes in ice water), draining, packing into bags, then into the freezer. It resulted in 18 qt (US) (17 liters?) bags of prepped beans to go with the 4 bags we already had. Amidst that there was grocery shopping, Debrief coding/tagging, OTW committee meeting (eating dinner, snapping green beans, ignoring whining husband, and participating in committee meeting all at the same time - *WINS*), making sure new spam solution at tw.org didn't actually break anything, and ignoring the laundry. Damn, some days I'm just good.
Anyway, random links: via half my flist,
a picture that's especially entertaining when you realize it's John Barrowman in an advertisement for his new role in La Cage au Folles. Niiiiice legs, John!

Where a Kid Can Be a Kid by
turntap2. The prompt was that Spock find himself someplace highly illogical, which led to Sarek, Amanda, and kid!Spock at Chuck E. Cheese. Only 68 words! No excuses! GO! *giggles self silly again*
I've chipperly filed the above under a new tag in my Delicious - "qual:PersonalCanon". I can see someone on the Enterprise mentioning having gone to Chuck E. Cheese's as a kid and Spock just going really pale. About the time I started going back through and marking some other fics with that tag as well, I realized that I'm now up to 707 bookmarks since I restarted the whole thing at the very end of March. As they are essentially all tagged and commented, I'll call it a yay. :)
My reading queue seems to be up to 149 + 4 rec lists. Which is the wrong direction. Gah.
On that note, a very intriguing new WiP!
A Little Left of Ordinary over at the (yes, yes) ubiquitous
st_xi_kink community. It's a kind of... steampunk/fantasy AU of the movie (or has been so far, up though Jim shipping himself off to the Academy on a dare - Anon author notes that it will diverge more from this point).
Okay, I'm... going to go do something now. If you happen to know what that is, please let me know.
