came across this article about 16mm: http://www.guardian.co.uk/artanddesign/2011/feb/22/tacita-dean-16mm-film

I don't know of Tacita Dean, but it reminded me of the Rosalind Nashashibi exhibition, and the piece The Prisoner which was brilliant. haven't found any photos of it online, only of the film bit of it, I think I've described it before, but it was two 16mm projectors side by side, modified so the film strip looped from one and crossed over to the next, so what was being projected side by side was the same strip a bit further on. sounds so simple, but it was great, you see the film bobbing up and down a little, winding across the dark space between the projectors (not far), from the cutting the projection crackled and skipped, and you watched to see it do the same thing on the other half a few seconds later. quite one of my favourite pieces.

also, didn't notice that LUX have a youtube channel. might be worth checking out.
