What I've been reading lately

1. David Suzuki-the autobiography- Fantastic! I loved reading about David's life, musings and adventures. There's a lot in this book to be savoured- his experiences, his wisdom and a healthy dose of environmental thought. Highly recommended.

2. King Dork by Frank Portman- Called a modern day "Catcher in the Rye". I liked the character's voice and some of the details, but ultimately I wanted to like this book a lot more than I actually did.

3. Fragile things by Neil Gaiman- Decent, but not my favourite. Very creepy, good for October.

4. The custodian of paradise by Wayne Johnston- Another book featuring Sheilagh Fielding, my favourite character from his hit, "The Colony of Unrequited dreams." I love this character. What's not to love about a wise cracking 6"3 newspaper columnist? Some sound wit and a decent plot.

5. Cash the autobiography- with Patrick Carr- I read this one because farpotshket was talking about it. Cash had a pretty crazy life and I liked reading about his interactions with other country stars. I would have preferred more emphasis on his family and his relationship with June, but that's a small quibble. THe best thing about this book was how it was written as if Cash himself was speaking to you, telling stories.
